Este procedimiento consiste en la implantaci\u00f3n de embriones de alta calidad, ya sean reci\u00e9n generados (frescos) o previamente conservados mediante congelaci\u00f3n, en el \u00fatero de vacas receptoras. Las receptoras act\u00faan como madres sustitutas, llevando la gestaci\u00f3n a t\u00e9rmino sin necesidad de aportar su propia gen\u00e9tica al ternero.
